Mchoro Mawe
The Studio

A studio for spaces that stay considered.

Mchoro Mawe Designs is a bespoke interior design, architectural and construction studio working out of Nairobi. We specialise in office partitioning, frameless glass and gypsum ceilings — but the work that defines us is the drawing that comes before any cut. We build hyper-realistic 3D renders so our clients can step inside the room before a single millimetre is committed.

The studio runs on a small, opinionated team: architects who draw by hand and by software, a workshop that produces joinery in-house, and a project team that handles the cut. Free site visits and tailored proposals are part of how we open every conversation.

We work across Nairobi and anywhere in Kenya the brief takes us — Karen, Runda, Westlands, Lavington, Kilimani, the Rift Valley, the coast.

Founder note

We made the studio we wanted to hire — one that draws first, agrees the cut, and only then opens the toolbox.

The studio's beliefs
  • A room is too expensive to guess at.
  • Drawn first. Rendered. Then cut.
  • Specifications belong in writing.
  • The workshop is half the work.
  • Quiet, considered, exact.
